Beach Soccer World Cup

The good folks at Goal were nice enough to remind us that the Beach Soccer World Cup begins today down in Rio de Janeiro. The USA is once again sending a team from CONCACAF, though I’m having a hard time finding TV coverage here in the States. Shocking, I know. If anyone has a lead on that, post a comment. FIFA TV is streaming some games, but that’s only if you live in Europe.

Worth noting: Iran is sending a team. They play the USA on Sunday. I’m not expecting any international relations breakthroughs during this match, though I’m certain the Brazilian girls aren’t even trying to waste their time with those burqas.
